Channie's One Page A Day: 2 Digit Multiplication Practice {Product Review}

Channie's Visual Handwriting & Math Workbooks {Product Review}
I was first introduced to Channie's Visual Handwriting & Math Workbooks back in 2017, when we reviewed one of their One Page a Day Math workbooks. My math-loving son enjoyed it so much, that I knew I wanted to try another one if I ever had a chance. Well, we recently were given the One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication Practice (Grades 3-5) to review and today I'm going to share why I think these visual math workbooks are a must-have for any student!

About Channie's Workbooks

Channie's Visual Handwriting & Math Workbooks was first created as a way to help the owner teach her own son. He was struggling learning handwriting and nothing was working for him. So Channie created a visual handwriting system and it worked like a charm! Now she has over 15 products available and they are being carried in many major retailers like Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and retail stores across 25 states! Something cool about the product--it's MADE IN THE USA!

Some of the products available include:
Channie's Dry Erase Flashcard For Alphabet & Number  (Better for ages 4-6)
Channie's Dry Erase Flashcard for Sight Words (Ages 5-6)
Neat Numbers (Ages 3-5)
One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication Practice (Grades 3-5)

The consumable workbooks range in price from $12.95-$16.95.

We were given the One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication Practice to use with my 4th grader.

Our Thoughts on Channie's

Channie’s Visual Math Workbooks were designed to give students a visually guided math workbook. One of the biggest problems with solving math problems is the lining up of all the numbers. These workbooks take that part of the problem OUT of the problem! This can be especially true when solving 2 Digit Multiplication problems. The One Page A Day 2 Digit Multiplication Practice workbook even color codes the problems work area for the equations with double digits on BOTH numbers. This allows the student to know EXACTLY where to place their numbers, allowing for a greater chance of success.

You can see how that works with the carrying of any numbers as well. It definitely helps to keep everything lined up and straight—especially when working the second row of numbers.
The One Page a Day 2 Digit Multiplication Practice workbook has 48 pages of math problems. The last two pages in the workbook are the answer key.  This makes 48 days worth of math on one page a day. If you choose to do half a page a day, you could get twice that many days of practice work.

I liked to have my son do 15-20 of the 25 problems on the earlier pages each day. Once he got to the more complicated ones, I had him do 10 of the 16 problems. I let him choose which ones he did. He likes having this option. These pages are great brain warmups for math. It also helped me see that he was forgetting a couple of things when solving these—once I clarified any issues, he quickly was able to correct his mistakes and move on.

The workbook starts with very basic double-digit problems--multiplying by 0, 1, 2, etc. Each page progressively increases in difficulty. Next, the pages switch to mixed double-digit numbers for increasingly challenging problems. The back few pages are uncolored, so that way your child can put their skills to the test without the color-coding guide.

I’ve never had any issues with getting my son to do the pages. He loves math and these are easy to read and follow. His own lining up of the math problems has improved since he practiced with these pages! I plan on giving my oldest (8th grader) one of the back sheets so he can test his own skills. He sometimes makes silly mistakes and these would be just good reviews for him. You could also use them as a timed activity.

I highly recommend ALL of the Channie’s Workbooks, but especially this 2 digit multiplication problem practice for the upper elementary levels.
