A day I've waited nearly 3 years for.
Three years I have waited for one thing--a name.
Three years I've been eagerly listening for anything to claim me as his.
And tonight...initiated by my darling Little Britches while in the bathtub...
Baby Britches said...
"Mommy"
I cried...
I have a name.
When he was on my lap shortly thereafter I held him and asked...
"Who am I?"
And he smiled sweetly and softly whispered...
"Mommy"
I have a name and it is "Mommy".
